BUYING A WEAPON SUPPRESSOR ONLINE

Here’s a step-by-step guide below for purchasing a suppressor online from Mountain Top Munitions and picking it up at a local FFL.

Step 1: Choose Your Suppressor

Browse Mountain Top Munitions’ selection of suppressors on their website or contact them for recommendations.

Select the suppressor that meets your needs and add it to your cart.

Complete the checkout process, providing your billing and shipping details.

Since suppressors are NFA items, they cannot be shipped directly to you; they must go to an FFL dealer with a Special Occupational Tax (SOT).

Find a local FFL dealer with an SOT who is willing to handle NFA transfers.

Contact your dealer to ensure they accept suppressor transfers and get their FFL and SOT information.

Send Mountain Top Munitions the dealer’s details or have the dealer send a copy of their license directly via email.

After verifying your dealer’s credentials, Mountain Top Munitions will ship the suppressor to them.

Once your suppressor arrives at your local FFL, they will handle all necessary paperwork including your ATF Form 4.

Pay the $200 tax stamp to the ATF.

The ATF will process your application, which can take several months. Recently wait times have been much shorter.

You can check your application status online using ATF eForms if you filed electronically.

Once the ATF approves your form 4, you will be notified via email from the ATF and also your dealer may notify you as well.

Bring proper identification to your dealer and complete any final paperwork.
